BREAKING: Trump Demands Immediate Dismissal of New York Case, Citing Presidential Election Victory

President-elect Donald Trump, through his legal team led by Deputy Attorney General nominee Todd Blanche, has called for the “immediate dismissal” of the New York v. Trump case.

NOTE: In a letter to Judge Juan Merchan, Trump’s defense argued that the 2024 election results “supersede” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s alleged political motivations.

NOTE: The letter cites constitutional provisions, the Presidential Transition Act of 1963, and the need for a smooth transfer of power as reasons for dismissal.

NOTE: Blanche also criticized Bragg’s handling of the case, tying it to his re-election campaign. The court has agreed to a stay on deadlines pending further motions.
