MPD investigated a traffic incident on Highway 12 near Fish Hatchery Road where a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle. The subject was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is continuing at this time, and traffic is open in all directions.
Madison Police Officers are assisting with traffic control in the area of Sycamore Avenue near Walsh Road for a water main issue with a compromise of the roadway. Traffic will be impacted, so please avoid this area.

Highway 30 is now open. MG&E will be working in the area and may restrict traffic at points along N Thompson near Golden Leaf and Mesta. Some traffic lights may remain inoperable while awaiting repairs, so please proceed in this area with caution.
Commerical Avenue is now open. MG&E still working on power line removal and power restoration in certain areas, so eastbound Highway 30 to Stoughton Road and roads adjacent off of N. Thompson still restricted at this time. Updates to follow.

Madison’s isthmus is vulnerable to flooding during current and upcoming rainstorms. Two areas are especially at risk: Regions centered around E Mifflin and N Livingston and E Johnson and N Third. Avoid these intersections during storms and never drive through standing water.
