Can we stop calling children who read graphic novels, โreluctant readersโ please.
Just because theyโre not reading long-form fiction, doesnโt mean theyโre not reading or not enjoying reading.
Rant over.
How can we think beyond broadsheets and big media buys? Georgina Atwell, @joe_thomas25 (@headlinepg), Rishma Dwaliwal (@iamrishma1), Emily Souders (@riotcomms) and El Slater (@nicholsonslater) delve into finding new routes to campaign success at #MPConf๐
@MichaelRosenYes Iโve had Covid twice with barely any symptoms (I test for my parents who we see regularly and are both vulnerable). Iโd happily be part of a trial to see if I have certain antibodies which have protected me, Iโve always wondered if itโs because I had swine flu badly.
Kids are back to school and Iโm off to the launch of the fabulous #impossiblecreatures by Katherine Rundell. Unbelievably excited, thank you so much @KidsBloomsbury and looking forward to catching up with a few familiar faces xx
@smithsmm Totally agree. Thereโs a focus on childrenโs books which sell (to adult readers) rather than books which are enjoyed by children. Particularly in middle-grade. I think of it like one of those old lift indicators with children on one side and adults on the other.
So excited to be on my way to the launch party for #Skandar and the Phantom Rider โค๏ธ representing all our young readers who love this series. Huge congrats to @annabelwriter and thanks to @simonkids_UK for the invite. Iโm in my bluest blue outfit!
@PollSimon@toppsta@annabelwriter@simonkids_UK Thank YOU Simon. I loved hearing all about the reading initiatives youโre running, youโre doing a phenomenal job and you made my day today with your kind comments about Toppsta๐คฉ
