@BillieJeanKing@TODAYshow@SavannahGuthrie please cover women sports in the 1st hour. Women’s sports deserves the same coverage treatment as men’s. @BillieJeanKing is a wonderful example of why fair treatment is deserved and yet women’s pro-sports are still hardly covered on the Today Show.
@TODAYshow please cover women’s pro-sports like you do men’s. Where is your WNBA coverage? Opening segments always have NBA/NFL/MLB playoff clips, but nothing for @WNBA playoffs? Please do better. @SavannahGuthrie@hodakotb please fix this.
@SavannahGuthrie@TODAYshow Where is your 1st hour coverage of the @WNBA games and playoffs? This morning you covered the Mets but ignore your own @nyliberty games constantly. Women deserve the same coverage treatment that you give to men’s sports. Please do better.
@SavannahGuthrie@hodakotb@craigmelvin Please cover women’s professional sports like you do men’s sports. NFL, MLB, NBA all get 1st hour coverage. Treat the WNBA with the same respect. WNBA is in playoffs rn and @Today had coverage for MLB/NFL this week but women were ignored.
@natthedem@WNBA If the roles had been reversed I’d be ok with Coach W complaining about the missed call against her player and would be ok w/ it if they hadn’t gotten the call w/ Reese/AT. The fines are stupid when we all know the ref’ing has always been terrible & should be complained about.
@theheatherhogan And maybe not start off the season just like right in the teeth of the beasts that is WNBA teams. Good news is new WNBA/Fever fans can see and learn all about the top teams right off the bat.
@theheatherhogan I think the Fevers trouble is a little more than anything Clark is doing or not doing. And Clark is receiving a lot of intense heat with teams designing their games plans for her, so her rookie year has an extra layer of toughness.
@TODAYshow I hope you cover the @WNBA finals games like you do for the men’s game. I don’t remember y'all covering the women’s reg games or finals … well ever. Please do better this season! Women’s sports and stories matter! @hodakotb@SavannahGuthrie@craigmelvin
@theheatherhogan I would say Dawn Staley is a better comparison to Pat Summit in regards to high expectations but deep care for her players while Mulkey is more like a certain orange Cheeto candidate in regards to deep grudges, one-sided loyalty, and overall awfulness.
Just finished Endangered on @hbomax. Incredibly important & relevant topic for today. Freedom of the Press is an important part of democracy. A fundamental principle needed by citizens all over the world. Thanks @HeidiLoki@RachelLoki & @HBODocs for sharing another crucial piece
@abharris Women’s rights and stories have been reduced again and again in order to fit the male pov. This is why so many loved s1 of the wilds and why so many were not happy to see them reduced in s2. Please put the girls back front & center. The world desperately needs them.
@thewilds7890 @shelbaldswife@shelbystonis That's the major problem with S2 too many of the girls scenes were cut or left under developed because there wasn't enough space for their stories. Which is what so many feared to be begin with.
@PunkyStarshine I've been hitting that refresh button on @autostraddle all afternoon for your review! Looking forward to it. Have you seen the breakdown of time between boys vs girls? #thewilds certainly let the girls down on that front for sure.
Front and center apparently means less screen time and under developed. Turns out, the fans had every right to be afraid of what the addition of the boys meant for the girls. Unfortunately, this week has proven all too well that women's stories are negotiable #TheWilds
Watch @TCEhollywood on @netflix to understand why @thewildsonprime S1 was so important for women's representation and why so many are upset that women's stories are being marginalized (screen time/back stories) to fit in men's POVs. @heyabbot@abharris https://t.co/ICjjWjs3Ec
@thewildsonprime Y’all really out here saying more men’s stories are needed in order to understand women’s stories? Like seriously?? The women weren’t enough? As a woman, this is insulting, infuriating, and depressing. @heyabbot@abharris this is such a let down.
@thewildsonprime A show that marginalizes women stories in favor of men’s stories? Nah, that’s just the same old story for Hollywood. @PrimeVideo I was hoping y’all were different. As @WomenaHollywood stats have pointed out, women stories deserve better treatment.
