Ashley has the skills. She’s spent countless nights teaching herself to code, while working a full-time job and family responsibilities.
The ideas? She’s full of them.
The passion? Unstoppable.
But every time she tries to move forward, the same barriers appear:
No mentors.
No network.
No introductions.
No doors opening.

For Ashley and for so many like her it’s not a lack of talent holding them back. It’s a lack of access.

That’s exactly what @3percentclub_ is here to change.

The 3percentclub is a nonprofit initiative dedicated to increasing diversity in technology by empowering underrepresented communities, especially women and Black women, through education, mentorship, and career development. While women currently make up only about 25% of the tech workforce and Black women just 3%, the 3percentclub is committed to closing these gaps. The vision is simple yet bold: to shift the narrative so that diversity isn’t just welcomed ,it’s celebrated and foundational.

To make that vision a reality, the 3percentclub offers programs that deliver real world experience, direct access to capital, and a strong, supportive community:

What We Offer
• Summer Program:
Starting in mid July through mid September, this no cost educational journey dives into Web3, AI, and cloud technologies. Participants join global batches in New York, Lagos, and Mumbai, and take part in high impact hackathons, investor pitch events, and collaborative learning alongside a diverse international community.
• Hackathons & “Builder’s Day”:
These aren’t just competitions. They’re vibrant spaces where underrepresented founders can bring their ideas to life, find mentorship, build community, and earn cash prizes all while sharpening their entrepreneurial skills.
• Investor Access & Sponsorship:
Through partnerships like Distributed Funding, 3 Percent Club removes the traditional gatekeepers. Founders gain merit based access to over 20 investors who care about what you’re building not who you know.

• Mentorship & Networking:
Weekly sessions with technical experts, VC coaches, and Web3 builders guide participants as they fine-tune their skills, strengthen their pitches, and develop their products for real-world success.

With batches in New York, Lagos, and Mumbai (plus virtual options), the initiative brings together builders from around the world. And with an equity centered approach woven into every detail, uplifting underrepresented talent isn’t a side mission it’s the foundation. Through a zero-fee platform, sponsors and VCs engage directly with early-stage founders, diversifying deal flow and creating new opportunities.
