MRC was happy to support efforts by @NDMAmv & @UNDPMaldives & deliver sessions for the development of the Island Disaster Management Plan in K. Guraidhoo, supported through UNDP’s Funding Windows, with contributions from Governments of Denmark, Luxembourg & the Republic of Korea.

NDMA, with support from UNDP Maldives, is conducting a workshop in K. Guraidhoo from 9–13 August 2026 to develop the island’s Disaster Management Plan and conduct a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Induction Workshop, marking the first pilot implementation of the revised Community-Based Resilience Building (CBRB) Framework.

A 2-day Y-Adapt (Youth Adapt) training was held in GDh. Gadhdhoo under the Youth-Led Urban Resilience and Climate Action Project, delivered in partnership with @ifrc and @crocerossa, inspiring youth to develop and implement climate change adaptation action in their communities!

MRC conducted 4 book reading sessions of "The Girl Who Grew a Beach" for students from LKG, UKG, and Grades 1–4 and donated copies of the book at GDh. Atoll School in Gadhdhoo.
