Just published in @ContraceptionJL by @DrBrianTNguyen -- an estimate of the demand for #malebirthcontrol accounts for women's dissatisfaction with female methods and the proportion of folks who might BOTH use #contraception -- up to 15 million US men!

@forbes just profiled "What We Know About The Male Birth Control Pill YCT-529" -- looks like there's money on the line for #malecontraception now!

@MaleBirthCtrl
@rethinkcntracpt Years ago, scientists predicted we were on an exponential trajectory of population growth, which is no longer the case. Our ability to predict is limited, however our individual lived experiences speak to the need for men to have the opportunity to control their own fertility.
Betting that a bunch of professional athletes wouldn't mind investing in and advocating for #malecontraception too! Might consider it a long-term investment in professional sports career longevity.
"I’ve previously called on the #NFL to dedicate airtime to promoting #MensHealth to its massive audience ... Let’s call on #MLB, #NBA, #Formula1 & #NASCAR to focus a small bit of their time & attention on men’s health (& men’s #ReproductiveHealth beyond just erectile dysfunction"
From the @guardianopinion: In the 1970s, women booed the idea of a male pill. Have we finally changed our minds about @MaleBirthCtrl?

Kate Lister from @officialinews_ doesn't trust men to use new male contraceptives, but what do you think? Let us know by taking our survey!

@JuiceeGotNoFLTR@nofltrmusic Trust men? Don't trust men? We started a survey to figure out whether women would trust guys to use @MaleBirthCtrl. Let us know what you think and share the link!

Calling all female & pregnancy capable people to let us know your thoughts on #malecontraception! Researchers are conducting a survey examining the impact of new male methods on contraceptive decision-making. Check it out and share: https://t.co/1UIhTeYapm
The answer is yes, it's always been yes, but I guess the @nytimes agreeing provides a tad more validation. Spread the word. @MaleBirthCtrl

Are We Finally Ready for a Male Contraceptive? https://t.co/7vPvE2EJfc
@TheTab: I'm tired of stereotypes of men being unlikely to consistently use #contraception. As an OBGYN, I meet many women who have difficulty w/ pills. We just need more long-acting @MaleBirthCtrl methods. Better headline: "I'd take it with my cereal!"

A lot of #malecontraception research focuses on formulations & method characteristics as primary drivers of men's willingness to use @MaleBirthCtrl. @theEMERGElab showed they're also motivated by beliefs in #genderequity and previous abortion experiences.
