Farmer, father, husband, rural/regional political irritant. Dabbling on bluesky but it's hard to leave a place with the energy of a harvester smash up derby.
So who is this bearded upstart?
3 kids, dryland sheep and grain farmer just south of Rupanyup, former Mayor behind Silo Art Trail.
Deeply frustrated by parties and #Mallee being ignored for too long! #wecandobetter
Proud to be doing all this with Whitney in a place I love.
@dyerjonathan@AntonyGreenElec I would have. It'd take a good candidate to get over the line, but with the disillusion with the majors plus cost of living etc, a slightly racist cardboard box could do some damage.
@Meat_Watcher Noting Hastie the only one with sufficient credibility to pull it off long term. Would have to find a way to move significantly toeards the centre as an individual without torching that credibility though.
@Meat_Watcher They'll go Taylor or Hastie. If Hastie's smart he'll let Taylor. Tehan way too pissweak. If they end up with him he's 100% set up as the fall guy. The real question is, is there enough smart people left for them to reinvent themselves or do they just go into gradual decline?
@consettfarming@Meat_Watcher Slow lope to fast lope then?
The c20o thing is interesting. I fully understand the discomfort but it does surprise me how well the coalition landed those punches considering how hypocritical they are re donors.
@consettfarming@Meat_Watcher Interesting results for you guys. My take. If Dyson couldn't win in 3 with fairly significant $$ and people support then he was the wrong candidate.
@consettfarming It has crossed my mind that despite being very uncomfortable with the lease of the port of Darwin, now might not exactly be the moment to be showboating about kicking them out.
