I underlined my government’s commitment to establish a National Human Rights & Equality Commission, a reform that will advance equality, safeguard fundamental rights & strengthen good governance. - RA

Ahead of Day 2 of #EUCO in Brussels, I met with like-minded EU leaders to discuss migration.

The Pact on Migration and Asylum and the adoption of the revised Return Regulation are a major European achievement.

Now, we focus on implementation and further cooperation. - RA

Ahead of #EUCO, I met with fellow Friends of Cohesion Leaders.

Together, we reaffirmed that Cohesion Policy remains key to strengthening competitiveness, resilience and prosperity across the Union. - RA

S&P Global Ratings confirm our country’s rating and give us a stable outlook, as they believe our newly elected administration will prioritise protecting families and businesses from the effects of the global economic slowdown. - RA

The positive certificates keep coming.

Eurostat today show Malta's GDP growth in 2026 Q1 as 4.3%.

Once again we are best in class. Growing at a rate 14 times the euro area average.

Progressive policies are the best economic recipe. - RA

Growth expectations remain positive despite rising uncertainty. Strong momentum, rising wages, measures cushioning price increases, and a falling deficit.

While 5 EU countries have just been given a negative outlook on their rating by Moody's, the international agency reaffirmed Malta's A2 rating with a stable outlook based on our strong trend growth, moderate debt and strong institutional framework - RA

I’ve just had a call with Hungary’s Prime Minister-elect, @magyarpeterMP.

We discussed strengthening cooperation and safeguard stability in today’s challenging global climate.

With global uncertainty rising, the IMF's World Economic Outlook makes for sombre reading, yet, for Malta it forecasts the best GDP growth in the EU till 2031, a further reduction in the deficit and inflation below the EU average.

Malta welcomes the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. We thank the mediation efforts of Pakistan and all partners involved in the negotiations. May this be the first step leading towards a comprehensive and long-lasting resolution on all issues for the much-needed peace and stability in the region. Diplomacy, dialogue and de-escalation must prevail on all fronts.
