@ElderflowerFest my partner & myself had to speak to him then crowd manage the queue (about 60 people by this point) to sort this. We do run events, but weren't expecting to have to run this one! Our 12yr old spent almost 2hrs not able to use the toilet. Pls investigate and fix!
@ElderflowerFest Hey guys, veteran family festival attendees here but first time to you, there seem to be only 4 women's toilets in the whole live in camping field, all full, and the guy who was supposed to be emptying them didn't know how to manage the queue to do this TLDR 1/2
@TPEassist this is my fourth attempt trying to log a complaint about a serious injury that was sustained disembarking from one of your services and mishandled by station staff. Emails lost, complaints being redirected, calls not returned... It's quite urgent now. Can you assist.
Now that we know the electorate isn’t actually gender critical and being a transphobe isn’t an election winner, can we PLEASE go back to ACTUAL women’s issues that need urgent attention?
Let’s stop letting the GC’s suck all the oxygen out of our fight for women’s liberation.
It doesn't feel like it, but Reform barely improve on UKIP's 2015 election. 14.3% of the vote vs 12.6%. 4 or 5 seats vs 1 seat. 98 2nd places vs 120. Not exactly a sea change. Yet seen as very significant given how close they pushed the Tories nationally in the polls.
I see all your hot takes but if we had PR voter behaviour would have been different. Voter behaviour adapts to the system you have, hence tactical voting. We very much need PR but the takes explaining what the landscape would be under PR cannot reliably use data from these polls.
unless labour pick up 620,000 votes in the remaining 5 seats still to declare, labour have actually lost hundreds of thousands of votes than their 2019(!) result and won a landslide this time lol
@jburnmurdoch agree in part, but I think it's dangerous to extrapolate votes between electoral systems like voters do not adapt to it.
I'm pretty sure the end-result would have been quite different in a proportional system, where you can't really vote tactically for example.
With the Greens now having the same number of seats as Reform, the UK media should provide them the same platform and level of coverage as Farage’s ilk. Will it happen though? #GE24
Reposting this meme as we've signed up for another 5 years
If there's hope it's that Reform and the far right are really only "popular" thanks to the mainstream elite enabling it
Problem is the mainstream elite needs the hype to hide its failure to address various crises
*important since I have a complaint out about one of their staff members and absolutely DO NOT want to be put in a position where I am treated by her again.
Phoning. About the hearing aid clinic and then getting annoyed I was struggling to hear.
Like... I... 🤡
Shout out to @LG_NHS staff member for phoning me from a noisy room about my audiology / hearing aid appointment, refusing to give me the name of the person my appointment is with* and then hanging up when I was struggling to understand what she was trying to call for. Wtf.
@GreenwichPH Hiya, I have a 2.5yr old and would like to give her her first cinema experience! I also have a 10 year old, can the three of us come to toddler time on Sunday or is my 10yr old not allowed in? It's not clear on the site how it works for families with age gaps!
Ah fuck it, THREAD, I guess. I’ve tried to hold my tongue re: the lack of female guitar acts/female headliners/the “pipeline problem” at Glastonbury. But perhaps my experience is relevant. I am a female guitar act. I write big, singalong chorus songs that go great at festivals.1/
Is using "desperately needing a wee and yet not going because you've not finished your email/document yet" a common motivational tool, just me, or another subset.
Asking for reasons..
