Citizens are also urged to remain vigilant against false or misleading images, videos, and messages.

It is reiterated that the creation, uploading, publication, sharing, or circulation of fake, misleading, inflammatory, or otherwise objectionable content on social media platforms will invite strict legal action in accordance with the provisions of law.

On 12-10-2026, a combined team of CDO Unit, Kakching and Security Forces arrested an active cadre of KCP (Ibungo Ngangom) from his residence under Hiyanglam-PS:

Yumnam Kiran Singh (41 yrs), S/o Y. Rajeshwar Singh, R/o Hiyanglam Awang Leikai, Kakching District.

On 12-10-2026, a team of Churachandpur-PS arrested Chingmuanchin Samte (37 yrs), W/o Pauginthang Vaiphei of Zabalei Village, Singat, presently residing at Khupgou Village, Churachandpur. From her possession, 45 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar were recovered.

Based on information gathered during her examination, her supplier, a Myanmar national identified as Mr. Paumuonthang Tungnung (33 yrs), S/o (L) Pumminthang Tungnung of Tamu, Myanmar, presently residing at Boljol Village, Churachandpur, was also arrested.

On 12-10-2026, based on reliable intelligence, a joint team of CDO/Imphal East and Security Forces arrested two active cadres of PRE-PAK from their respective localities of Imphal East District under Lamlai PS:

1. Keisham Kanto Meitei (18 yrs), R/o Yourabung Khunou

2. Kshetrimayum Shyam Singh (52 yrs), R/o Nungoi Makha Leikai

Both were involved in activities linked to PRE-PAK's Raising Day, from handling and putting up the outfit banners at Sawombung area.

On 12-10-2026, based on input, a team of CDO-Imphal West and Security Forces conducted a search operation at Kabowakching area under Nambol-PS and arrested three members of KCP (Nongdrenkhomba), all residents of Kwakeithel Konjeng Leikai, Imphal West District for their involvement in kidnapping for ransom.
Arrested:
1. Khongbantabam Priyobarta Meitei (36 yrs) @ Abung, S/o Kh. Damudor Singh – Organisation Secretary of the outfit
2. Konjengbam Jiten Singh (39 yrs), S/o (L) K. Thanil Singh
3. Laishram Nanda Singh (57 yrs) @ Shanta, S/o (L) L. Shamu Singh

On receiving credible information that administrators and users across
multiple Telegram channels were circulating, trading and monetising non-consensual explicit
videos and photographs of local Manipuri women, including distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), Manipur Police registered an FIR at Moirang PS and launched an investigation codenamed Operation Dignity.

To date, 13 individuals, including one CCL, have been arrested. Fourteen mobile phones and one laptop have been seized. Investigation is ongoing into the wider network, financial trails and additional victims.

On 12/10/2026, a team of Churachandpur Police arrested one individual namely Douthanglen Haokip (36 yrs), S/o Yamngam Haokip of Geljang Village, Chandel District, presently residing at K. Salbung Village, Churachandpur, for illegal possession of narcotics.

From his possession, forty soap cases containing suspected brown sugar weighing approximately 932 grams were seized.

*Manipur Police Signs MoU with Babina Hospital and Babina Diagnostics*

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed today at Police Headquarters (PHQ), Manipur, between Manipur Police and Babina Hospital and Babina Diagnostics to extend healthcare benefits to the officers and personnel of Manipur Police.

The MoU was signed by Shri Mukesh Singh, IPS, Director General of Police, Manipur, on behalf of Manipur Police and Dr. Thangjam Dhabali Singh, Managing Director, Babina Healthcare and Hospitality Industries Pvt. Ltd., on behalf of the healthcare institution.

The collaboration aims to facilitate access to healthcare services and provide benefits to Manipur Police personnel and their families.

Senior officers of Manipur Police were present on the occasion.

DGP Manipur, Shri Mukesh Singh, undertook a two-day visit to Jiribam District via NH-37 on 9th-10th October, 2026.

During the visit, he inspected IDP resettlement localities in Jiribam and Borobekra, reviewed security arrangements with SP-Jiribam, CO-7th IRB and senior officers of Assam Rifles, CRPF and RPF, and emphasized Jiribam's role as the Eastern Gateway of Manipur. He issued instructions to curb illicit drug trafficking through the region.

He also interacted with CSO leaders of all communities (Meitei, Hmar, Naga, Kuki and Paite) at District Police HQ, Jiribam, and appreciated their role in maintaining peace.

He inspected SP Office, 7th IRB Battalion HQ, Jiribam-PS and Borobekra-PS during the two-day tour.

On 11/10/2026, based on reliable intelligence, a team of CDO-Imphal East conducted an anti-narcotics operation at Hatta JNIMS Road under Porompat-PS, near Muslim Girls’ Hostel, and arrested one Md. Amzad Khan @ Mumu (29 yrs), R/o Kwakta Tera Khong Maning, Bishnupur District, from his rented residence.

*Seizures:*

1. 02 plastic bottles containing approx. 62 grams of suspected Heroin No. 4 powder
2. 06 Tramadol capsules

The accused disclosed that he had procured the heroin from a drug supplier from Churachandpur, and was selling it to local drug users in and around Hatta, Imphal East.

On 11/10/2026, based on specific input, a team of CDO-Imphal West conducted a search operation at Khurai Lamlong area under Porompat-PS and arrested one active cadre of RPF/PLA, namely Rocky Pukhrambam (20 yrs) @ Keipha, S/o P. Sanjoy Singh, R/o Khurai Angom Mamang Leikai, Imphal East.

On 10/10/2026, a combined team of CDO-Bishnupur and Moirang-PS seized approximately 3.5 kg of suspected Brown Sugar during frisking and checking at Tiddim Road, Okshobung under Moirang-PS.

One person, namely Md. Abir Khan (46 yrs), S/o Md. Siraj Ahamat, R/o Oinam Sawombung Makha Leikai, Imphal West, A/P Tuibong, was arrested.
One Hero Destini-125 two-wheeler was also seized.

Based on specific information, on 10/10/2026, a joint team of Manipur Police and central Security Forces conducted an operation at Lamboikhongnangkhong and arrested one active cadre of RPF/PLA, namely Wangkhem Malemnganba (37 yrs), S/o (L) W. Hiramani Singh, R/o Lamboikhongnangkhong, Lane No. 12, Imphal West, who was involved in extortion.

A case has been registered at Lamphel-PS.

Based on input regarding extortion in Thoubal, on 10/10/2026, teams of CDO-Thoubal conducted an operation and arrested one active cadre of PRE-PAK (Pro), Elangbam Dinesh Singh (38 yrs), R/o Khangabok.

On his revelation, another active cadre, Potshangbam Bijen Singh (33 yrs), R/o Kakching Lamkhai, was also arrested. Both were involved in extortion and transportation of arms. A case has been registered at Thoubal-PS.

On 09/10/2026 at about 11:20 pm, based on specific information regarding illegal transportation of foreign liquor along NH-2 from Mao towards Senapati, a team of Senapati-PS conducted a raid at the house of one Rokhu (38 yrs), S/o Rolland, R/o Phaibung Khullen Village, A/P Kathikho Karong Village, near Senapati Drop Gate and seized a large quantity of IMFL:

On 09/10/2026, based on reliable intelligence, a joint team of CDO/Imphal East and Security Forces conducted a CI operation at Ngariyan Chingkhong under Andro-PS and arrested one active cadre of KCP (MFL), G5 alliance, namely Pukhrambam Jackson Singh (26 yrs), self-styled Private.

Based on his disclosure, a concealed cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from the foothills of Nongmaijing Ching near Gournagar, comprising:

1. One M16 rifle with 2 magazines
2. One Lethod gun (40 mm)
3. One.32 pistol with magazine
4. One Chinese hand grenade
5. 495 rounds of 5.56 mm live ammunition
6. Two Baofeng wireless sets with chargers

On 09/10/2026, a team of CDO/Imphal West arrested two alleged vehicle lifters while they were attempting to break open a vehicle at AMFA Football Ground Complex, Lamlong Thong, to commit theft. The tool used was seized.

The arrested persons are:
