@tferriss I picked Circle for a pretty simple reason - it seemed the obvious choice based on the momentum of the industry and had the endorsement of @PatFlynn. I can't claim it is objectively best, but sometimes standard is better than better...
@Tantacrul Generally, vertical, especially for scores where there are multiple systems per page (eg, solos and small ensemble music). In fact I wish full screen view would stay vertical, and allow me to zoom to page width.
