Happened to me recently.

When I auditioned, I made some acting choices that I thought fell really flat at the time.

When I was cast, they told me that I made great choices and that I was perfect for the role.

I fretted for days about “screwing it up” before getting the call.

You learn real fast not to trust your own predictions.
