Today is the 45th anniversary of the New Cross Fire which killed 13 young Black people at a birthday party in 1981
with the youngest being just 14. Police ruled out a racial motive & 2 inquests returned an open verdict so nobody was ever charged.

Andrew Gooding was only 14 when he was killed in the New Cross fire. At the 45th memorial, his brother Richard said, ‘What happened shouldn’t have happened. My mum was 46yrs-old & struggled with the loss of her youngest son’

@NMPsychologist There is a hashtag #MenToo started a few years ago highlighting that men too have suffered. However I’ve seen very little if any justice for them. @urbanwallstreet is a pioneer in raising awareness for this 💯. I hope it can get more support and higher reach going forward.
