Seventy-five years of Pakistan-China relations reveal a truth that to understand a nation as vast and dynamic as China, one must not mistake a single paragraph for the whole. Our partnership has often been viewed through individual milestones: the Karakoram Highway, the restoration of the People's Republic of China's lawful seat at the United Nations, breaking the ice in China-United States relations, or more recently the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (#CPEC). It was my profound honor to receive “Outstanding Diplomat Medal” on behalf of Pakistan from Chinese Foreign Minister H.E. Wang Yi during an elegant ceremony today at @MFA_China - a first time such award was conferred.

Being awarded this honor at our most consequential diplomatic outpost, from where we guard and nourish our most ‘iron brotherhood’ is truly a rewarding feeling. However, much more can be done as for our relationship, sky is the limit. This year when we celebrate #PakChinaAt75, the motivation is even stronger!

I am grateful to the deep support extended by my colleagues at the Embassy, @PresofPakistan @PakPMO , DPM/FM @MIshaqDar50, FS @amnabaloch4, colleagues at @ForeignOfficePk, @PakinChina_ and our consulates and countless institutions in Pakistan.

Pleased to inaugurate today 🇵🇰 Pakistan Pavilion at 27th Vegetable Science & Technology Expo in Shouguang city in Shandong province. To mark 75th anniversary of 🇵🇰🇨🇳 diplomatic relations, Pakistan was invited to this leading expo as Guest Country of Honor with a dedicated pavilion.
Happy to see Pakistani companies showcasing some of the best Pakistani food and speciality products. Also spoke at the ribbon-cutting ceremony highlighting uniqueness of Pakistan China ties, growing collaboration in agriculture sector and need to further deepen it in high tech, smart and digital agriculture.

A special highlight was finale of the Beijing Masters Cup International Ballroom Dance Open, alongside a soulful performance by one of our gifted artists Natasha Baig in Urdu and Chinese languages. With the greatest humility, I am pleased to announce that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States of America, along with their allies, have agreed to an immediate ceasefire everywhere including Lebanon and elsewhere, EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
I warmly welcome the sagacious gesture and extend deepest gratitude to the leadership of both the countries and invite their delegations to Islamabad on Friday, 10th April 2026, to further negotiate for a conclusive agreement to settle all disputes.

Today we join our Chinese friends as they observe the Qingming Festival, upholding the age old tradition of honoring ancestors and cherishing their memory.

In Pakistan, we also hold dear the values of remembrance, respect for elders, and praying for our departed loved ones.

Though our customs may differ, the heart of honoring those who came before us is something we share.

Wishing peace and reflection to our Chinese friends on this day.

今天，我们与中国人民一同迎来清明节，共同坚守缅怀先祖、珍视记忆的古老传统。

在巴基斯坦，我们也珍视追思故人、尊敬长辈、为逝去的亲人祈祷的价值理念。
