Weโre the UKโs leading end of life charity. Hospice care and support, research and campaigns. Whatever the illness, weโre with you to the end ๐
Financial anxiety is real. Now imagine living with an illness thatโs only going to get worse and you rely on financial support to live. Yet youโre still being asked to prove how ill you are, again and again.
This is why we need a more compassionate social security system.
@PeachyK24921284 Hi there. We're talking about any physical illness that won't get better here. We're calling on the government to stop benefit reassessments for people living with a terminal illness and for people with progressive, life-limiting illnesses that won't get better. ๐
@SimonPotter6 Hello Simon - We're incredibly sorry to hear about your dear Mum and everything she experienced. Please know that our Support Line team are here for you on 0800 090 2309, if you would ever like a safe space to talk about hoe you are feeling. Take good care ๐
Thank you for sharing this Mark. Reassessments can be so stressful and add unnecessary admin when you're already dealing with so much. ๐
This is exactly why we're calling on the government to stop benefit reassessments for people living with a terminal illness and for people with progressive, life-limiting illnesses.
If you need any support, or just want to chat, you can call us on 0800 090 2309 ๐
๐It's making a real difference. But we can't do it on our own.
For everyone to get good end of life care, we need these services to be available everywhere.
That's why we're calling on the UK Government to create a dedicated Transformation Fund for palliative and end of life care, to make sure these services can be rolled out right across the UK.
Imagine finding out your cancer is terminal by accident. This is happening in the NHS right now. Poor communication is leaving patients frightened, confused and unsupported at the end of life.
This has to change.
๐๐จ Weโre working with NHS teams in A&E and GP practices to identify people who may be in the last year of life, support healthcare professionals to have compassionate conversations and help people get the care plans they need in place.
Together, we've raised over ยฃ14,000 for @MarieCurieUK through the Great Daffodil Appeal 2026 ๐
Every donation helps Marie Curie provide expert care and support for people living with a terminal illness, and for the families who need them most.

Dear Craig, Thank you for hosting this collection can in your premises. In order to arrange a collection of the donated proceeds, please call 0800 716 146 where I or my colleagues can leave you with a contact telephone number for the regionally based colleague nearest to you. Thank you once again and we hope to hear from you soon ..
We canโt go on like this. ๐
The next Prime Minister must be the one to fix end of life care for good.
Everyone deserves to spend their final days comfortable and cared for, where they want to be and with the people who matter most to them.
Hi Mikey. Thank you for getting in touch. I am so very to hear this, please do accept my sincere apologies. Our team would like to investigate this further. Please visit https://t.co/cCDOCGcr0E if you would like to provide further details. Thank you so much for your feedback. Best wishes
Everyone, everywhere deserves good end of life care. It should be available in peopleโs homes, in hospitals, GP surgeries and care homes. Care should be available at night, on weekends, and before families reach breaking point.
Repost if you agree. ๐
Hi @JamesMurray_LDN, congratulations on your new job ๐
As the new Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, we need you to prioritise fixing end of life care. You have the power to make sure everyone has care and comfort in their final weeks and days.
Too many people are still going without. We want to work together to change that.
Yesterday we handed in our open letter at the Senedd - backed by 3,250 people across Wales calling for better end of life care.
Maeโn bryd gweithredu.
We need care that works - 24/7, properly funded, and there when people need it most.
Weโre so proud that REACT, a service we provide in partnership with Bradford Teaching Hospitals, has won an NHS Excellence Award. ๐
Together, weโre changing what happens when terminally ill people come to A&E.
Our team identifies people likely to be in the last year of life and gets them rapid, specialist support at home - so fewer people are admitted at hospital, and more can stay at home with their loved ones. ๐
Weโre so pleased this service is being recognised and celebrated for the incredible impact itโs having.
