We've joined @mariecurieuk in calling for funding for end of life and palliative care plans in England – so more terminally ill people can get the support they deserve.
No one should miss out on care at the end of life. Yet 1 in 3 people in the UK do.
❗ That's why, alongside 14 other healthcare organisations, we've written to the Government to call for urgent investment in palliative and end of life care services.
@Fraz180 We're so sorry to hear your mum passed away Frazer. Thank you for your kind words about our team, we're glad we could be there to support your mum and family. 💛
People often think hospice care only happens in hospices. It doesn't. Our nurses work in A&E to help people get the end of life care they need. They’re in GP practices identifying people who need care and connecting them to it. They visit people’s homes to manage pain and symptoms, and to support families through the toughest times. 💛 #HospiceCareWeek
@Simoncitizen Hi Simon, we’re really sorry - we didn’t mean to cause any upset. Door-to-door fundraising is a common way charities like ours raise money, but we understand it’s not everyone’s preference.
Hospice care is expert medical care. But it can also be a last cuddle with your dog. A favourite drink in the evening. Having your nails painted. It's being listened to. Being understood. Being treated as you. Right to the very end. 💛 #HospiceCareWeek

Hi Marjorie, thank for giving us your feedback about out Hyndland road store. Though we always try to stay open during our business opening hours, sometime we might need to close a store at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances. We've given your comments to our team. Thanks 💛
Everyone deserves time and space away from work to grieve, process and manage the practical tasks that need to be done after a loved one dies. 💛
This is a positive and compassionate step forward from the government. 👏

Terminally ill people deserve financial security. 💛
People with a terminal illness, no matter their age, should be able to access a State Pension level of income, so everyone has the money they need to live well in their final months. #PensionAwarenessWeek
🚨 Palliative and end of life care is in crisis. That can’t be forgotten as the Assisted Dying Bill returned to Parliament today.
We’re not for or against a change in the law. We’re calling on governments across the UK to fix end of life care, so everyone gets the care and support they need in their final days.
Hi Sue, by neutral we mean we don’t campaign for or against a change in the law.
Whatever the law, we want everyone to be able to access the palliative and end of life care they need, when and where they need it. Too many people are still missing out on this care and improving that will always be our priority.
If the law were ever to change, we would carefully consider the legislation at the time and make decisions based on what it means in practice.
Ultimately, our role will always be to put patients’ needs first, and to provide compassionate care and support at the end of life. 💛
Hi Daniel. We have a neutral position on assisted dying – we don’t campaign for or against a change in the law.

🚨 Over HALF of nurses in a new UK survey told us terminally ill patients are being cared for in places not designed for it, including corridors.
We’ll say that again. Dying people are being cared for in corridors.
No one should spend their final days like this. The government must make fixing end of life care a priority.
