@DatWay6997 He would still be in my 11. Just not in a double pivot. I like him playing up. “Goals in those legs” comment from Allegri. He has great timing on headers & one touch works around the box. He falls back nicely on D or presses well.
@DatWay6997 Agree. Too much one touch (predictable). Not enough touch & control in the center. Juve has Locatelli (Regista) & Thuram as their pivot. On attack, McKennie plays forward where his skills are better & he falls back on D & plays an 8 or presses
@USMNTTAKES I agree but didn’t get it all in a tweet. We got behind Senegal so much on the wings & hit low crosses well before he had a chance to trail the play. All the games won’t go like that & we will have to recycle against some teams. He has value there as well.
@USMNTTAKES I think his value first is the ability to possess the ball in middle & his passing vision to link between the lines. I would like him to push forward faster trailing the play to be able to shoot from top of box. Vs Senegal we got behind them on the wings b4 he caught up. 2A-1G?
@TheTennisLetter Fantastic footwork. Excellent ability to work the point. Willingness to go for it when she needed it. Composed. Wonderful tennis to watch. First strike tennis is also great but it’s fun to watch this as well..
@usmntonly@NextMexOficial Not a bad lineup. Reyna doesn’t really play as a winger as he is a possession midfielder & key in the build up between the lines. If he starts. Tillman & Weah or Dest can play up too. Dest /Weah winger & Tillman off the striker. Poch has options based upon opponent / need.
@saltydeplorable@RobUsry Agree. I like Reyna because of control / passing between the lines. Reyna isn’t a winger so really he & Weah don’t play the same position. Tillman & Reyna do play sort of same. I like Reyna with the ball better & I like Tillman off the striker better. Lots of Options!
@USMNTinEurope Reyna moved the ball well with his passing. He protects & progresses the ball well. As a winger, he plays more as mid playmaker. It also allows Dest / Freeman to overlap wide. He will pass more than shoot. He is not fast / never will be but a decent option w Tillman & others
@ManagerTactical Berhalter is playing scrappy on D. Freeman lost the ball and Berhalter forced the shooter wide. He isn’t that bad as he disrupts play nicely like Adams. He hasn’t lost the ball much (yet). Jury is still out (we shall see).
@StanUsmnt I wanted to go to some games in Atlanta but the cost is outrageous. I might try day of last minute purchase when the tickets sellers get desperate and drop prices. If they don’t drop, I have a wonderful seat on my couch however and it is way cheaper.
@budybet They can put LACoste sponsorship signs and logos in many places…,just not where they are now. Work out a deal that makes them happy and the players happy. You need both - sponsors and players.
@LookingBeyond2@USMNT Playing possession for both teams. Concentrates on what his skill or value is to a team. And I’m sure they rotate that too with other players. Might be as simple as numbers.
@USMNT_Thoughts I agree on the back 3 part for sure. We have 7 players who have experience playing either a back 2 or 3 on the roster. With Ream, it (back 3) gives us more support for him so we can use his passing ability. Plus, we have decent wingbacks. We shall see what Poch does.
@csett13 I like Weston where he plays at Juve. He stays fwd playing an inside mid/wing. On D, he falls back to more of an 8. Juve has a pivot of Locatelli (Regista) & Thuram. Dest plays a wingback mostly. Maybe he will surprise us at CM but I like him attacking on wing. Interesting post
@usmntonly@Score90_ I would be shocked if we don’t go with 3 center backs. There are 7 players on the roster that can play there so also makes me think we are doing that. I see Weah and Dest being right wingbacks. I do think we play better that way. CBs have better support. And frees up WBs
@xabiballl Anything after 8pm Et from an east coast perspective is ridiculous. However, if I lived in LA and wanted to go to the game or watch, anything before 7pm PT is ridiculous. It’s a big country. I don’t like it but will stay up to watch USA in Wcup 26.
@ryan_fernand@ManagerTactical I agree. He has the possession dribbling, vision & passing to be that Regista in the center. He doesn’t lose the ball & will control play. It’s a trade off - he plays ok position defense but doesn’t have Adam’s ability to tackle & disrupt the attack. We shall see if he plays.
@ManagerTactical I’m not a fan of McKennie in the pivot. He seems to get one touch syndrome & other teams start to read it. I like him the way Juve played him at advanced mid (among other positions) in attack but drops back into an 8 defensively. He heads well in attack & gets back well on D.
