One of my favorite parts about being an author is signing books at the bookstore and connecting with any readers. I love that B&N Danbury brought out the whole gang—hadn’t seen all of my books together since GOLDEN DOVES came out, which was fun!

It was lovely seeing Caroline's cousin, Lisa, at the Bellamy-Feriday House recently! She's been such a loyal supporter and comes to every event. I love that we got to take our pic in front of Caroline’s hutch where her china is displayed. Do you see the resemblance to her cousin?

All the talk about the Barbie movie has had me reminiscing with my daughters about their American Girl Dolls. They spent hours playing with them! I’m happy that they’re making a comeback and being shared with a new generation. Have your children played with American Girl dolls?

I got the idea to write The Golden Doves when I saw Irene Zisblatt tell her incredible story about being inprisoned at Auschwitz at eight-years-old, and read her book The Fifth Diamond. It's unputdownable and so inspiring. #WomenInHistory

This photo of my mother on my desk helps me feel like she's with me when I'm writing. She was quite a cheerleader when it came to getting us all reading. I try my best to honor her with every word I write. Who helped spark your love of reading when you were growing up?
