Pakistan's national poverty rate stands at 25.3%, with the World Bank reporting that the country accounts for roughly 48% of the extremely poor population living below the $3-a-day poverty line across the Middle East, North Africa, and Afghanistan-Pakistan region. Where is the spin , what is there to defend here , why is 🇵🇰 in this humiliating listing … what are my friends trying to to defend here , why is calling out in 🇵🇰become a sin … and if you do , its an us and they … its about the people of 🇵🇰… disappointed … and complete lack of civility , when I tweet I assume the exchange is between intellectuals who are above name calling 🙏
When the media runs with racist narratives hard working students pay for those hateful agendas.
Sindhi students are mocked for jahil and Sindhi graduates are not given jobs because the media has built a perception that all Sindhi degrees are fake and all Sindhis are jahil.

The FCC says workplace harassment under the 2010 law must be sexual in nature. It took us years to even get to a point where women could speak openly about harassment, and harassment is not always overtly sexual. It can be intimidation, humiliation, gendered hostility, abuse of power, comments, gestures. Women already struggle to prove harassment. Now they’re expected to prove sexual intent too? This is highly regressive. Women shouldn’t have to prove intent before their dignity at work is taken seriously. What a shame.
Ah as expected. The same judge who looked at Noor Mukadam’s brutal murder & chose to moralise about her alleged “live in relationship” has now authored a ruling narrowing workplace harassment. Different case, same instinct- scrutinize the woman, weaken the protection & raise the burden. Women are harassed, intimidated, violated, murdered, and somehow the conversation still circles back to what women must prove, justify or have done differently. That is the rot.
Between a busy schedule of meetings here at the UN General Assembly, I ran into Alexander de Croo @alexanderdecroo.
We shared what we’re hearing – and why the world must move faster to end conflict. #UNGA

All other provinces have raised the minimum marriage age for girls to 18. Khyber Pukhtunkhwa must not remain the exception.
I call on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly to act now: raise the age from 16 to 18 and end child marriage.
Our girls deserve education, childhood and a future.

The province’s debate has been wowww- separated those who are grounded and know voice of people in constituencies vs technocrats / spokespersons of establishment. Super to c who is where. Organic language/history ethnicity based division vs establishment kaaat pooot. What’s issue with local govts being fixed? Vs destroying ethnic fabric. Quite amusing. Best was @DaniyalNA116 analysis of organic provinces vs imposed. Spoken like a real people’s person vs voice of the boys. At the end of the day boys need the funds for Defence vs provinces. Those being spokespersons are identified /marked for future.
If an army official can use acid as a weapon and get away with it on a reduced sentence…. It is worth @antonioguterres and the entire @UN looking in to.
