🌿 Huge thanks to the volunteers at Maryhill Men’s Shed for helping create bird, bat and swift boxes across Maryhill and Ruchill Park 🐦🦇
Working with our Countryside Rangers and supported by @ActionEarthScot, this project is making a real difference for local wildlife.
The Spence Street hedge is finally done! All cut down to fence level all the way along, it was a big job but now should be much easier to maintain at this height.
Pumpkin advice from our Countryside Rangers🎃
Please don't leave old pumpkins out for wildlife as it can make them sick🤮
Don't dump your old pumpkins in our parks or woodlands. Instead donate them to local farms/community gardens or bury it in your garden for worms to enjoy.

We’ve been doing more tidying of the community garden, putting the sign back up, putting out and filling some planters, and also installed a bike rack next to the tennis courts.
We’ve started on some renovations to the Community Garden, so you might notice some new fences going up - the Garden won’t be fenced off completely, there will still be pedestrian and wheelchair access, but it will separate the Garden and hopefully encourage responsible use 🙂
