The NLG hotline is transforming into an independent collective called Mass Defense Hotline PDX. The number one priority of Mass Defense Hotline PDX is supporting the community. The hotline number and crew remain the same.
Advice for those hitting the streets today:
-leave your phone at home (even if what you're going to might feel tame).
-have a plan in place with your friends/crew about what to do in case of arrest.
-if you are arrested, do not speak to the police (no chit chat, no nothing). 1/
We will be announcing dates for another 10-15 Stop The Bleed trainings as soon as possible. In the meantime there are some good resources listed in this thread.
Give Care/Take Care
We’re hurting together, please use this time to have grace for one another. We need to get through this as a community, this is not the time to place blame on comrades. Thank you to the medics and everyone who did what they could, you’re the backbone.
As we grieve together and our hearts break together, remember that the state is watching us and that we aren’t safe to detail our experiences on socials, as much as we may want to. Keep photos, videos, and first hand accounts to a minimum so that you don’t receive a knock.
Hot line is up and running. Check on all your people tonight, have a person who’s going to be waiting to hear if you’re home safe. Hold your comrades close tonight Portland.
