Turnaround lion animation test. Hereβs a black-and-white versionβ I may need to slightly reduce the mane dynamics, but Iβm pretty happy with the result. I used medium quality settings, as rendering 685 frames took quite some time on my machine π
Thanks again to David Llopis for the great animation!
Full color version coming soon

A portrait of the new Lion β as always, a straight forward rendering. I further refined the textures and reworked the head and mane fur for better blending. After countless hours, I now call this guy final, at least the βcleanβ version.
I will be adding a few blend shapes, and then it will be ready for rigging.

Excited to share a sneak peek straightforward render of my new 3D Lion! This is just a work in progress, but Iβm really pleased with how itβs turning out so far.
Created using Maya, Xgen, and rendered with Arnold. Canβt wait to refine it further!
@Justi53142329 Thank you! Over the years, I've written a few articles about fur, primarily focusing on breakdowns, but I havenβt done so recently. I might write something new sooner or later.
