@0kCorker@Streetfilms@NYCMayorsOffice@NYC_DOT@bfurnas@TransAltBX_Up Entirely false. Dutch cycle lanes practically never have potholes. Lesser used roads need less frequent repair. This is not even a debate anymore
Bikes with one person take so little space. Cars with one person damage roads, demand parking, demand road space. Society pays for it
@0kCorker@Streetfilms@NYCMayorsOffice@NYC_DOT@bfurnas@TransAltBX_Up Nope. Cycling infra is cheap vs cars (main cause of potholes is vehicle weight). Cost per mile to transport a person is vastly cheaper + health benefits. Most car journeys transport one person and no goods
Dutch spend vastly less on transport and have less traffic jams
@433FutbolFan@barneyronay "took it away from him"
If anyone thinks any player is entitled to play for their country, not sure we'll build a squad that way
@m8bro1337@TILIKI_OS We could afford the defenders. We couldn't afford the striker yet. There wasn't one on the market. Only two strikers scores 30+ this year in Europe
But defenders that we need are easier to find
@0kCorker@yajayah@Streetfilms@NYCMayorsOffice@NYC_DOT@bfurnas@TransAltBX_Up Driving costs society more. Takes up more space. Noise, pollution, more deaths. Parking space. It's fine to drive, but it costs everyone more, so when I drive I know I have to pay a higher price
Cycling costs far less to everyone
So cycling lanes are cheap
@GaryJamesWriter I mean, a rich man pays his kids' private schools and by his taxes pays for someone's state schooling. You won't call both the same
Stadium naming and shirt deals were market rate. Arsenal would've gotten similar amounts from anyone else
@GaryJamesWriter Shirt sponsorship in mid noughties were 2nd to Man It's, which makes sense
Stadium naming was barely 5-7% extra
Man City went from bottom half to richest
@amirulruslan What's the SG deal about, really? If Msians use Llama based on their incentives and drive, we can let the market optimise our return from it without govt guiding where usage goes to
@peterrhague Practically no loss in time, because nearly all affected roads have junctions within 2 miles, so the stretch where a car reaches 30mph is short, restricted by other cars slowing down at junctions
