The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. But God left out one crucial component: no steering wheel, no sail, and no engine.
Think about how scary that is. Noah built a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it or where it went. He couldn't steer away from rocks, turn into the waves, or aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was designed for floating, not navigation. Noah's job was to be the passenger, not the captain. God was the Captain.
This is your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel on a situation that God wants you to simply float on and allow Him to lead and take control.
This blessed me. I hope it blesses you too. 🙏🏾
Here are 7 sins we often overlook as believers:
1. Gluttony (Prov 23:20-21)
2. Gossip (Prov 16:28)
3. Envy (Prov 14:30)
4. White lies (Col 3:9)
5. Grumbling and complaining (Phil 2:14)
6. Pride in the heart (James 4:6)
7. Unforgiveness (Eph 4:31-32)
All of these remind us how much we need Christ every single day.
If Jesus died and never rose again, Christianity would just be another sad story of a good man gone too soon. No power. No victory. No hope.
The gospel is not just that Jesus died. Many people died. The difference is this, He didn’t stay in the grave.
The resurrection is the proof. Proof that sin was actually paid for. Proof that death was actually defeated. Proof that everything He said about Himself is true.
Take away the resurrection and what do we have left. A message with no life. Faith with no foundation. Hope with no assurance.
This is why in 1 Corinthians 15, Paul says if Christ is not raised, our faith is useless. Not weak, useless.
But He is risen.
And that changes everything.
It means your past is not stronger than His grace.
It means your sin is not greater than His sacrifice.
It means death does not get the final say.
We do not serve a memory. We do not follow a fallen leader.
We serve a living Savior.
That is the gospel.
NFL playoff scheduling is not fair. It might produce good ratings but it’s not fair.
This late in the season recovery time is crucial and it is not given equally. Rams & Bears played Saturday games. They will face each other on Sunday with an extra day of rest. 49ers played on Sunday and will face Seattle on Saturday-short week of recovery. Why?
In the AFC the Bills will have to travel to Denver on a short week. Why? Because there’s a Monday night AFC Wild Card game.
The Texans play Pittsburgh. The winner will automatically have a short week and travel to New England. Why?
Several years ago the league did away with Monday Night games in Week 18 of the regular season because it created a disadvantage if one of those teams made the playoffs. Now we create that disadvantage.
The Wild Card round should be 3 games on Saturday and 3 games on Sunday. Then try to schedule the Divisional games so the teams have equal rest. Don’t force San Francisco, Buffalo and Houston or Pittsburgh to play the most important game of their season on a short week just for TV ratings. That is not fair!
Look what we have here all the way from Albuquerque... it's the New Mexico Lobos!
They have a big bowl game this Friday after going 9-3 this season and they are on the RISE!
Thank you to Coach Eck and @UNMLoboFB for all this great gear... let's go LOBOS!!
