Most campaigns that do field hire outside companies that will hire paid canvassers for them. Oftentimes by election day, they will have dozens if not hundreds of paid canvassers.
We didn't want to do that as those outside companies ofter treat workers poorly and pay anyone, regardless of if they believe in the campaign or not. So we did it in house by offering a living wage to our volunteers who wanted the work!
Since we did it in house, they show up as paid staff rather than an expense to a paid canvassing operation.
E&E News was not a real news outlet. It was Greta Thunberg’s dear diary outlet run by radical eco-leftists that masqueraded as reporters.
Good riddance.
New: Politico is folding E&E, the energy trade publication it bought in 2020.
The company says it is reorganizing its energy coverage under the Politico brand and launching a series of new state and global energy newsletters.
How the DSA is speaking about working class people in the Midwest is exactly why they voted for Donald Trump. Pisses me off. And I know because I come from there. These are trust fund babies. I am now tired of it.
Ummmm.....so, I am an abolitionist. And people who want people in jail raise red flags to me, esp. a guy who has made statements like he has. This guy creeps me out.
Oystergruppenfuhrer Graham Platner: “If I had my way, elections would last two months, they would be publicly funded, and if a billionaire looked at a TV ad the wrong way we’d put ‘em in jail.”
Golden Tempo shines again - this time in the Belmont Stakes - for trainer Cherie DeVaux, a Saratoga Springs native, who makes further racing history, becoming the first female trainer to saddle a winning horse in multiple Triple Crown races!
Saturday’s triumph came 5 weeks after Golden Tempo’s stunning victory in the Kentucky Derby, which was the first milestone moment for DeVaux, as she became the first female trainer to win the “Run for the Roses.”
Similar to his trip in the Derby, Golden Tempo came from the back of the Belmont field to pull out another remarkable, come-from-behind victory, edging the 7-horse, Commandment, down the stretch.
In the last year of the Belmont at Saratoga Race Course, it was truly fitting that a Saratoga native hoist the trophy. While she didn’t spend much time in the Capital Region, DeVaux recognized the significance of the Spa City to the horse racing scene. @reredevaux@BelmontStakes@TheNYRA
Big congrats to Kentucky Derby champ Golden Tempo on his win at Belmont 🏆🌹
and 🍻 to his trainer who made his health a bigger priority than a triple crown 👑 👑👑 😘
I've told y'all before. It's difficult to be restful in this world. I have issues with it. But here is what I ask myself before I go to sleep. 1) Have you stood up for other people? and 2) Have you told the truth? If I can answer "yes" to both those questions, I sleep much better
@magi_jay@grahamformaine@BernieSanders@SenGillibrand I have been clear. No one should be attacking the women who came forward or any journalist, including you. We need to unequivocally condemn misogyny and find a way to move forward with grace. And focus on defeating Collins.
And you don’t even wanna know who I was working on behalf of in 2016 because it is even funnier. And I will never reveal because I don’t name paying clients.
How is Platner ‘working class’?
He comes from a distinguished and affluent family.
He went to a prestigious boarding school, Hotchkiss.
His family bought his home.
He has a vanity business.
Prior to Maine he sloshed around in DC with political elites and activists.
Dysfunctional, downwardly mobile leftists always try to pass off their destination as their origin story, but if you pay attention at all it’s not convincing.
My family was legit working class united auto workers. No college degree. The men were not ass holes. My dad and grandfathers were the most honorable men I knew. They would never treat women like that. Graham Platner and Donald Trump are not working class. You don’t know.
