@donnfelker@ZakTaccardi I 100% agree with you here but I think there is a key line in this guidance that the maintainer of the implementation should provide the fake and otherwise use a mock. I can get behind this. Well written first party test fakes supplied as part of a library are awesome!

@devmisterio Pair programming. Turning the task into collaboration and ping-pong pairing hits the gamification and small win aspects and eliminates the urge to check messages and other distractions.

@billjings@zorbadgreek@GergelyOrosz Yes, and the planning cycle is also a culprit. If planning points a team all towards a single goal and project then pairing is an effective way to deliver on that goal. When individuals each have their own projects taking time to pair can impact those projects.
