Quadratic Venn task designed for learners to think deeply about different features of quadratic functions. The task has 4 variaitons levelling up in difficulty @mathsjem
@MrBishop_Maths So frustrating. Before AI, students would cheat by copying from others, so it’s not a new problem (though getting worse! And more visible now). I don’t have a good solution unfortunately - just need to do everything we can to ensure students see that practice leads to success.
@MrBMaths3 Their new assessment site has loads of QLA stuff which I haven’t used (my MAT is trialling it) but it also has online GCSE papers for students to complete for revision. Our Y11s liked the instant feedback on GCSE questions. We’re hoping it’s still available next year.
I wrote a post for new/inexperienced Heads of Maths about some of the things they can do this term to ensure their department hits the ground running in September. Hope someone finds it helpful!

Can anyone recommend a stand that can go desks for visualisers? One that is tall enough so staff can stand when using the visualiser? @mathsjem Thank you in advanced!

Michael Pershan says Gina Wilson quietly became hugely influential in math education by selling easy-to-use worksheets on Teachers Pay Teachers. While education experts debate textbooks and policies, over 167,000 teachers actually use Wilson's materials because they're simple, ready to print, and practical. This shows a big gap between what schools officially require and what teachers actually use in classrooms.
