@rebekkarnold Just select “Not interested in this advert” and the algorithm will move it down the list so that it disappears. If everyone did this, the algorithm would learn and we can all be free of this nonsense. It needs us to teach it.
@baileyinvests As a fellow investor, I don’t agree. Sinking capital into a depreciating asset means that money isn’t working for you. Leasing is the way to go. Plenty of great deals around always.
@mattjameswright It’s a great car btw (the Model 3). I have this exact same model, just taken out on a 2yr lease. Very quick, quiet - and an engaging drive too! Flog your Audi and invest the money. Buying cars with capital is a mugs game.
@HullTeslaModel3 Just had an email from BOXT saying the DNO submission remains unresolved and that they can’t continue with the planned install (16th June) unless they hear back shortly. Slightly annoying that it took them weeks to submit the DNO request.
@HullTeslaModel3 Same, though I’ve paid zero deposit (I structured mine to be this way). Scheduled for 16th June currently. Photos uploaded etc. Hope to hear from them soon!! Will update if I hear from them.
@ListerLawrence@joespensman Just didn’t myself. As did my father. You’ll soon realise your ICE cars are completely pointless. I had a mint Porsche 987.2 Cayman; lovely thing, but it had no relevance once the Tesla came along. Even in base spec, the 3 is just a nicer car to drive.
@harryinmarkets I’d say £600k invested across SIPPS and ISAs (ideally split evenly across husband & wife) and you’ve easily enough for a £60k net income. The money will grow quicker than you can spend it if invested in something state-side like Vanguard’s sp500 tracker (VUAG).
@thealexbear@AutoPap My cousin has a 3yr old 911 TurboS bought from a main dealer. Engine smoked after some hard driving. On inspection it needed a new engine and both turbos. The bill? £48k. All under warranty. You really need a warranty.
@AutoPap Yep. Lease always. Use the capital instead as an investment to offset the monthlies. A simple S&P500 tracker sat in an ISA would yield about £12k pa tax-free on a £100k investment. That’s a grand a month to lease with. And at the end you still have your £100k to do it again with.
@sosandar My wife needs to contact your customer services team. On hold (phone) she’s told there are no agents to help her. Online, she’s been sat for 10 mins on a chat as you ‘try and connect her to an agent’. Just how small is your Customer Services team?
@LoftusSteve They reclaim the Vat on the purchase which saves a chunk, plus they have massive leverage on buying discounts + credit lines for capital. You cannot buy and run a new car cheaper than you can lease one (in the UK).
@mickeyhynes@simonpapworth Just get portable units. I bought 3 x AEG Comfort 6000 units for about £500 each and wheel them out the garage & into place when it gets hot. They’re heavy and quite noisy but put them on early evening and you’re fine. The hot air which vents out the window is incredible.
@1edmountain@highlandaudi@AudiUK Edward, I switched to Tesla and have had a truly wonderful ownership experience the last 4 years. No servicing required and for the very few minor warranty issues, they came out to me and did the work on my driveway. Very cheap on lease now (direct with Tesla).
@JohnNurden Yes I had this about a month ago. I politely asked them to just cancel it as I’d had a special deal of £29 which was expiring. They just renewed at £29. No drama. I suggested instead they just offer it out at a sensible price and negate the need for these silly theatrics!
