Our own @MattBonnerFire , Research Lead, presenting at the 15th Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) Fire Safety Conference & Expo on Performance-Based Design in Copenhagen, Denmark:
For those who enjoy equations, I offer you this compendium of the most important equations in fire science. This is the exam sheet in my fire dynamics module at Imperial. Equations and nomenclature are from Drysdale’s 3rd edition.
Our Research Lead, Matthew Bonner joins Mike Moulden’s CSI on Fire podcast to discuss the science of fire safety in modern building façades.
This insightful discussion is out now - https://t.co/4O4fvlY94h

Today I had the joy of spending the morning with the fire engineers of Trigon talking about *wildfires*. They have started to work on the protection of buildings against wildfires and wanted to know the fundamentals + outlook on the topic. Thanks Karl & Matt for the invitation.
How to talk about battery safety without talking about fire?
My sketch has humorous take but it is based on 11 years of working at the interface between battery technology and fire science.
I managed to cite the important paper by @MattBonnerFire and @GuillermoRein during and interview with the Italian newspaper @Corriere on the fire in #Valencia
The scientific community works hard to reduce the risks of façade fires in high-rise buildings

It was a pleasure having Tom visit us today. We learned a lot about the basic principles of sustainable construction, and are looking forward to discussing more about how good fire safety design can overlap with sustainable design!
Huge thanks, Tom Gwilliam from Etude for giving us a most enlightening presentation on sustainability in the built environment.
We enjoyed an interesting discussion on how we might optimise sustainability in our business & fire safety engineering. #Sustainability#FireSafety

It took him about 25 attempts, but photographer Grover Schrayer captured these magnificent rainbow vibes smoking from a candle stick, which also shows us how smoke is made by particles.
An interesting course for people new to the field of fire safety engineering (or want to learn more!)
Also, I happen to be in Episode 2 of the course if you want to remember what I looked like with hair.
I finally found the time to post online our four lectures introducing fire engineering. It is basic material but it also includes the way I think of fire safety which maybe it is not presented like this anywhere.

@MayaCPopa@CarolineBirdUK I've never shared poetry on here before, but I wrote this poem last year and it feels weirdly relevant 😅
Also thanks for always sharing such beautiful poems! They brighten up my feed 😊
We are delighted to announce that Irene de Lezcano is promoted to Principal Engineer.
Irene joined in 2022 and has played a significant role in Trigon’s growth. She is working with some of our key clients and is leading significant projects.
