American Battery Technology'e ABD Hükümetinden Dev Fon Desteği Yeniden Verildi
Batarya malzemeleri üreticisi American Battery Technology Company, Nevada'daki Tonopah Flats lityum projesi için daha önce iptal edilen ABD Enerji Bakanlığı (DOE) hibesini açtığı temyiz davasıyla tamamen geri kazandı. Şirketin başlattığı resmi itiraz süreci ve yürütülen teknik incelemelerin ardından federal hükümet, 115 milyon dolarlık hibe desteğinin aynen devam etmesine karar verdi.
Bu önemli geri dönüş sayesinde ticari ölçekteki lityum rafinerisinin ilk faz inşaat çalışmaları takvime uygun şekilde yeniden hız kazandı. Yıllık 5.000 ton batarya sınıfı lityum hidroksit üretim kapasitesine sahip olacak bu tesis, ABD'nin en büyük lityum rezervlerinden birini ekonomiye kazandırarak ülkenin kritik mineral tedarik zincirini ve enerji güvenliğini doğrudan güçlendirecek.

“Of the hundreds of DOE grants terminated last Fall very few have been able to successfully appeal the decisions and have their contracts reinstated”
~CEO Melsert
We have won our appeal with the U.S. Department of Energy, securing full reinstatement of our competitive grant award supporting our $115 million Tonopah Flats commercial-scale lithium refinery project.
Reinstatement advances our Tonopah Flats Lithium Project — one of the largest identified critical mineral lithium resources in the United States — reinforcing domestic battery materials supply chains and strengthening U.S. national energy security. The grant has been reinstated in its entirety, with no change to awarded funds or contracted technical and commercial milestones.
"We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the @ENERGY, and are grateful that after rigorous due diligence it has concluded that this critical mineral lithium refinery project has achieved all of its contracted technical and commercial milestones to date, and that continued federal support of this project is warranted," said CEO Ryan Melsert.
Melsert added: "We consider the U.S. Department of Energy one of our closest long-term partners and look forward to continuing to work with them across multiple Administrations to advance domestic critical mineral projects."
We remain committed to scaling a secure, sustainable U.S.-based critical minerals supply chain that supports national security and strengthens domestic energy resilience at commercial scale.

@GPinac81@BeGreatEducate1@mishmar34@danpompei It’s all political theater. Look up all the tax breaks Pritzker provided to fund quantum computing and data centers. Now he’s reversing course on that because politics.
@GPinac81@BeGreatEducate1@mishmar34@danpompei These tax dollars will just end up in the politicians’ pockets instead. They’ll find some other way to get these tax dollars the Bears aren’t willing to give them.
@schmieder83@pottsie2602@ChiTown_Greg@79thAndHalas The SoFi Stadium development in Inglewood is the most obvious comparison. Property tax on that 300-acre property (also formerly a racetrack) is less than $15 million annually. Explain to me why the Bears should pay $53 million annually.
