The last time I can remember riding with a team and betting them every game and cashing constantly was Joe Burrow’s 2019 LSU team.
This #Knicks team winning 12 straight is a close second soon to surpass.
It’s been a jaw dropping run.
@Lj_era8 Had no idea you were honored in Boynton. Had I not driven on Gateway to pick out bathroom tile with my wife, I would have had no idea. Congrats!
A $500,000 yearly deal for a college athlete is commonplace today in D1 football.
Consider that deal over three years when done right (planning, tax strategy, and investing) can be $2-4M in a few years.
Life changing money when you prioritize it.
@MatthewModine That’s Louden Swain. A very good high school wrestler, he dropped three weight classes to take on three-time state champion Brian Shute. Took down the champ with an epic late match hip toss. Shit was legendary.
@billdoodle54@On3@PeteNakos@dpshow I don’t think they can enforce a ban. I do think there needs to be legislation even at the state level where all universities with D1 programs hand over their data base of football/basketball rosters so the on line books to at least attempt to exclude them from betting.
@billdoodle54@On3@PeteNakos@dpshow Friends & family, I understand, but at what point do the amounts/frequency raise a red flag. I know I needed to provide a driver’s license to prove identity for if tax documents ever needed to be generated, so the fake accounts is interesting in terms of how he was able to do it
@schadjoe Dan Patrick made a very astute observation. We all have to prove our identities to have an online gambling account. A database of all D1/FCS players for football & basketball needs to be created and used to remove accounts of those athletes while in college.
