We are deeply saddened by the passing of Dr. Giovanni Scambia, a highly respected leader in the gynecologic oncology community and a valued member of IGCS. Dr. Scambia contributed immensely to our society, participating in multiple IGCS Annual Global Meetings as an attendee, faculty member, and program committee member. His dedication, expertise, and kindness touched the lives of many, and his impact on the field will not be forgotten.
Our thoughts are with his family, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be greatly missed.
