Fairfax also skived the trial of Charles I.

@The_One1001@MemoryMedieval Simon de Montfort was a great man, but in the book ‘the song of Simon de Montfort’ it details how he was in breach of Magna Carta by seizing land of free men and redistributed to his supporters.
Always been a bit unsure about him since that book.
