WEEK 9 DISTRICT 10-6A DUMP

Rockwall has been the new punch line for what it is to not play defense and give up points to everyone. Tyler Legacy? 50. Mesquite Horn? 50. Everyone has put up big points.. but finally Rockwall gave us some defense and they had a dominant, no-brainer game against Forney. That's what I like to see to get ready for the playoffs. That was an Aledo-style win from 3-6A's dump. If Rockwall can just consistently keep teams in the 20's and 30's, this is a team that has the front line talent to win the region. Ironically, Rockwall ran Forney's offense tonight better than Forney did. Rockwall put up nearly 300 rushing yards.

Rockwall-Heath also did the same thing this week. No shootout necessary. Garbage time scores made it look closer than it was. I'm a fickle ranker. North Forney wins and still gets put back to 4th.. According to Progreso, this district is done, although mathematically, I guess Forney could win two and North Forney could lose two, so I guess that's the 1%. Forney just has to beat Longview and North Forney has to lose to Mesquite Horn. The DMN won't call Forney out, but my model has opinions.. lol.

Just horribly tragic news out of Parker County this AM; per a facebook post from his wife, Millsap HFC Jacob Johnson passed away after a courageous battle with cancer
My prayers are with Coach Johnson's family, his football team and the Millsap community #txhsfb @dctf

We have 210 of our 211 games finished. Currently sitting at 186-23, which is also what Progreso is sitting at. We're both at 89%. I remember getting 90% two times - usually Week 10 or 11.. so we'll see if I can knock out a 90% barrier much sooner than later.. Massey went 182-27.

I don't think I've ever had a 4 hour dump before. We all thought AI was going to make this easier, didn't we? I at least did.. lol. Road game, podcast going over time and introducing Progreso Playoff Projections definitely created some challenges but hopefully it gives you some new reading material to consider.. (Remember, AI makes mistakes!)

[Nolan Ruth @RealNolanRuth]

Jacob Johnson was easily one of the best men I had the honor of meeting. I have been filled with emotion all day. This was the hardest thing I have ever had to write. I feel it speaks volumes on the man Coach was. #txhsfb @GMsportsmedia1 @Gosset41
