Maui: #hitraffic Honoapiilani Hwy will be fully reopened at noon with restrictions.
Residents need to show ID and visitors a hotel reservation.
There will be no access to Historic Lahaina Town.
A curfew will be from 10 p. until 6 a. and Honoapiilani will be closed at that time.
The magnitude has been upgraded to 7.6 and Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued a threat message warning of possible 1 to 3 meter waves affecting the coast of Mexico. PTWC is still assessing any possible threat to Hawaii.
An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.5 was detected at 8:05 am HST off the coast of Michoacán, Mexico. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center is assessing whether this event poses any threat to Hawai‘i. Any effects would occur in about 6 hours, they estimate.

Tsunami Warnings are in place for areas CLOSE to the epicenter. Per @NWS_PTWC it's still "TOO EARLY" to determine if a Tsunami Warning should be in place for Hawai'i.
