Any support would be appreciated. Covering whatever we can from delhi. It’s certainly for the able-bodies, tough to keep up with a nerve condition. Anyway, it’s all on our insta!
It took Modi an entire lifetime of bloodshed and retribution to instil terror in the minds of people and petty politicians of the BJP. It took the youth of India 🇮🇳 just 5 reels turn him into a running joke with tails between his hind legs
A good rule of history: if you find yourself opposing a student movement while siding with the ruling class, you're wrong. Every time, in every era, whatever the issue.
WHY ARE PEOPLE NOT TAKING THIS MISHAP AS A SIGN FROM THE GODDESS THAT BJP IS WRONG FOR BENGAL??????
i would immediately point this out.
Mahalaya came with resistance this year.
IMF estimated World real GDP growth at 3.1%; China, India at 4.5% & 7%. Stutians were overjoyed. IMF’s GDP growth in current USD is: World 8.03%; China, India at 9.78% & 3.87%. India is amongst the lowest in world. Be Prabuddha: see full picture. My oped. https://t.co/kWPpK7v1Nz
A few years ago, Ashu had a high-paying corporate job in London, earning millions. Saurav was writing about the country’s legal system and living a great life. Both had successful careers, financial security and every reason to continue living the lives they had built for themselves.
But they chose to give it all up in the hope of making this country a better place. They had absolutely no reason to leave behind their comfortable lives, take to the streets, face uncertainty and eventually end up in jail. Yet they did.
What I admire most about these two is that despite coming from privileged backgrounds, they chose to fight for those who aren’t as fortunate. They could have easily looked the other way, enjoyed their lives and never bothered about the struggles of people they had never even met. Nobody asked them to make these sacrifices. Nobody expected them to. But they did, because they genuinely care about people beyond themselves.
And to me, that is the greatest quality a human being can have. To stand up for people you don’t know, to fight battles that aren’t your own, and to risk everything you have so that someone else might have a better life.
That’s the kind of people Ashu and Saurav are.
These so called shopkeepers in Delhi who are crying that their business is getting affected due to protests should look at France and shut their mouths
What happened in Saudi with Bangladesi couple is shocking and infuriating.
BJP, RSS and Bajrang Dal want to turn India into a nation like Saudi. Saudi is their blueprint.
On one hand we have EVM with allegations not once proved in 20 years. On the other hand we have Ballot which have been documented for decades to have been misused with Booth capturing. Go to rural areas of Bihar, UP, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bengal and you will hear stories.
We Must Return to Ballot Papers.
I do not consider that the allegations of vote theft raised by Rahul Gandhi have any element of truth. I do not think Modi won the 2024 election through vote theft. Had that been the case, he would have secured a much more comfortable victory in Varanasi, and the overall 2024 electoral results would have been far more favorable to the NDA.
However, these allegations have cast serious doubt on the genuineness of India's electoral process. That is deeply unfortunate. We can never afford to let such doubt persist in the minds of even a fraction of society. There should never be an occasion for anyone to suspect or doubt the integrity of our democratic process. It must remain—like Caesar's wife—above suspicion and beyond doubt.
That level of trust can only be restored if we return to paper ballots. The Congress Party originally introduced Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), and there is nothing inherently wrong with embracing technology. However, now that technology is central to the process, allegations have surfaced that it was manipulated to win an election. Irrespective of the merits of these claims, we cannot afford to have our electoral system questioned at all.
Therefore, the Election Commission should return to ballot papers. Even if the process becomes time-consuming and expensive, the electoral process is sacrosanct. Such inconvenience and expenditure are well worth the credibility they restore.
France is classic example for those who support violent protests. It's your stores that will be looted. Your cars will be burnt. Nothing will happen to govt.
The transition from MMS to Modi definitely has a Maslow's laws of hierarchy vibe.
MMS delivered enough financial comforts for ppl to take for granted and look at "Ab hamaare religion ka faayda" as the next step, which of course slowly wiped those financial comforts away.
