While this marks the first large convention to take place since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we expect to welcome other conventions and tourist events this summer with safety precautions.

Although we are not able to hold our typical events during the pandemic, MPEA is glad to lend an idle kitchen to a local non-for-profit so they may further their mission to recover unused food. The volunteers of @Fight2Feed are generating nearly 2,000 plates for those in need.

MPEA today announced a new partnership with a non-profit that will expand their food recovery and distribution services from the Lakeside Center kitchens. Fight2Feed is a volunteer-based organization that sources food that would ultimately go to waste.
