Wonderful news: I’ve been invited to speak at a panel. It’s called Women in Tech.
The other three panels at the conference are just called Tech.
So proud.
Just got feedback from a VC after our pitch.
He said we need “more testosterone in the room.”
I asked if he meant the product metrics.
He said no
Very helpful feedback. Taking notes.
Next time will take my husband with me.
Bullish on Europe! 🇪🇺
A journalist is writing a piece on successful European female founders.
He asked for a photo of me in my kitchen.
I sent him a photo of my husband doing the dishes.
He said that’s not quite what he had in mind.
We agreed to disagree. Bullish on Europe! 🇪🇺
Ours has a Slack group and a workshop on the ethics of AI.
Oh and consultations from people who never built a startup. Very excited about their fresh perspective.
Incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Great news: I have been accepted into a female founder accelerator.
It is 12 weeks long.
There is no funding attached.
There is a networking dinner on week 11.
The male founder accelerator has €250K and an office.
I asked a VC why he passed on our round.
He said he just didn’t feel the “founder-market fit.”
I built this product because I personally experienced the problem for 6 years.
He said yes but he just didn’t feel it.
He has never experienced the problem.
A VC asked me today whether I’d thought about ‘what happens when you want to start a family.’
I said yes, I had.
He seemed pleased.
I meant my company is the family.
We’ll discuss the misunderstanding at our Series A.
I would love it if you read the piece and gave your opinion. I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Also happy to have anyone drop me a private message if you want to stay anonymous.

I have to interrupt my spring workation to make this post.
Someone reached out to me yesterday and I couldn't be silent anymore.
I want to talk about this. I wrote an opinion piece about EU funding for female entrepreneurs.
I'm sure many people will hate what I have to say. But I'm not here to be liked.
I'm willing to have a constructive discussion about it as I want what's best for female entrepreneurs in Europe.
