@BuddyWolfX @WolfDrinksTea @GaiusGuy See the history pages on burned furs. It felt like a loving family because those old furs put in the work to drive bigots out. We need to keep doing so, and be glad so many of the new folks coming in are carrying that torch.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@BuddyWolfX @WolfDrinksTea @GaiusGuy Dude, I'm older than you and in the fandom since the 90s. My first talks in the space were w/furs attending gay rights protests and helping with ACT UP who had been around since the 80s. The fandom has ALWAYS been political.

date went well expect for that one moment where she showed me her sketchbook and it was this and i sat there in genuine shock for a good minute

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@RedFuchs_ Boyo, have you looked at the MIFurs event channel recently?

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@WhitewingsArt

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@TorinDarkflight Oh bonus. They're opening where I live in MI now. That's some funky coincidence.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@TorinDarkflight My first thought as a dude from Climax on encountering a Kum & Go when I moved to Iowa City for a while was that there needed to be one in the home town. I had no idea we were getting them in Michigan.

@SPR1NGB0NNlE @AkumaDeer @BlueFolf @_ImJustRoo When one party is a 28/29 year old and the other party is a minor, the adult plying for sex with them is indeed grooming. Exploiting that power dynamic to get sex is an inherent violation of consent - whether or not the minor liked it, it was the adult's responsibility to stop.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@AkumaDeer @BlueFolf @_ImJustRoo Beyond that, this isn't the first time he's been moderated. You've been in a relationship with him for a relatively short amount of time. Maybe inquire with the wider community about his past relationships and problems before jumping up to defend him without a basis?

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@AkumaDeer @BlueFolf @_ImJustRoo I don't really need to address the accused directly when I can verify his telegram ID and the content and nature of the messages. They're pretty self-explanatory without needing the additional context.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@AkumaDeer @BlueFolf @_ImJustRoo The unedited version was shared with the appropriate admins in the area, like myself. It is factual. Bombing their posts like this isn't helping.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@AdalwinAmillion Quick answer: We treat them the same as burned furs, as that's what they are. Its not a new phenomenon in the fandom, its just new slang for an old problem.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@AngosturaCat @GabrielBluewho So, burned furs?

A fantastic post on Reddit today.

If there are any male fantasy writers out there who believe the existence of strong, multidimensional female characters is not possible in the genre, go read some @terryandrob!

@LuisTheFoxxo @shreddyfox The issues is the verbiage. Ask your lady friends how they like being referred to as "females." That's the fedora vibe.

[MechinaDraco @mechinadraco]

@shreddyfox When straight furry dudes advertise that they're "straight males" or "only interested in females" in their social media bios.
