This morning, I hosted delegation from the Wikimedia led by Wikimedia Foundation CEO Maryana Iskander at the Ministry of ICT Headquarters.
We held insightful discussions on strengthening partnerships to promote open knowledge, digital literacy, and safe online spaces for all. The discussion aligns with our vision of empowering citizens through digital skilling, accessible, inclusive, and trusted digital platforms.
We explored ways of increasing Kenyan content on Wikipedia, supporting local communities of editors, and leveraging Wikimedia’s global reach to tell our stories accurately and authentically.
We look forward to a strong and meaningful partnership that places Kenya at the forefront of the global open knowledge movement.
