Back in 2018, I tried building a booking system from scratch for an app idea I had.

I was a decent programmer back then, but I definitely underestimated how complicated it was going to get.

Bookings, availability, payments, orders, cancellations... what seemed simple at first turned into a lot very quickly.

Eventually, the idea went in the trash 😂

But I learned a pretty important lesson: commerce gets complicated fast once you move beyond a basic checkout.

Looking back, I think something like @medusajs would have made my life a lot easier.

So I decided to revisit the idea and see if Medusa could actually handle a booking system.

I made a full video walking through it.

In the video, I cover:
