@kristenhowerton I also think it’s a good litmus test. Are you worried about your partner’s reaction to your location? Maybe that’s something to think harder on. I check for boring reasons like “should I start dinner” or “how much traffic was there on the way to that concert?”

@scparsons901 I find them annoying but less annoying than a dental visit. Or a pants off gynecologist appt. Less annoying than a blood draw. Way less than a colonoscopy or MRI! Yay for screening.

@sage_stage If you hear someone say something out loud it might validate your feelings and make you more likely to act. But quieting that doesn’t solve the problem. It’s just a faster fix than the actual problems leading to discontent.

@madbutwright For what it’s worth, I think presenting these issues to admin at your feeder schools could go a long way. We’re also dealing with post-COVID policies that took a lot of weight off of younger kids. Former teacher here and I think teachers equate rigor and growth with extra work.
