What does Claudeforce mean?
How should we be thinking about it? As founders? As GTM leaders about the future of our rep workflows? As technology leaders? I reflected a bit on this last night.
If you missed it, Salesforce announced Claudeforce yesterday - including a set of skills for GTM in Claude etc. Interesting move.
This is just after a few other big announcements like Claude in Slack which I thought was brilliant and their announcement this week about multiplayer code - also brilliant...because Salesforce owns the surface.
But I think this move is riskier.. If Salesforce wants to make a real bet on building effective agents, it's going to need the data from the queries (thinking) that people enter into the system (ie chat interface) when it comes to training the models to predict the user's needs before they type it. Losing parts of that is a big risk IMO.
Is it Salesforce admitting they’ve lost the battle on UX/UI? Perhaps partly, yes. In their webapp maybe. They have a 10x better workflow collaboration surface (slack) than those LLMs - feels like they need to make a much bigger push on Slack/Slackbot being that surface...
It brings me back to the conversation I had a couple weeks ago debating whether Salesforce exists in the future and my conversation yesterday with Roi Tavor on the work that @wonderful_ai to help enterprises adopt AI, pretty fascinating.
My bet was yes, I think this is Salesforce’s battle to win if they execute well... in Slack. Their other UI will be tough to overcome from a brand hangover (spoke about it earlier). Most people don't even think about Slack being salesforce on a day-to-day which is a net positive I think for the rep audience. From an LLM quality standpoint, Salesforce has the advantage of having the structured GTM data model understanding of a company (how they sell codified in their data model). They’ve also made smart moves with acquisitions like Momentum and Qualified to solve for some of their data gaps on the GTM side for Sales Agentforce.
Time will tell...but I'm still pretty bullish, that's why we are doubling down our investment in Slack like sending buyer engagement notifications to deal channels to make sure those insights are where deal conversations happen, and the ability to query any answer in Spekit there to naturally surface that deal coaching, content, learning when it's relevant. Next we can bring our MCP in so reps can build deal rooms, make changes, approve suggestions to their deal rooms and content etc all from that workflow the way they can in Claude or other surfaces.
I'm excited to talk/learn about all of this at @Dreamforce Who's going? What do you think?
Claudeforce is here. ⚡️ The #1 AI (Claude) now runs natively on the #1 CRM (Salesforce). Through the new AIforce harness + Headless 360, Claude gets direct, governed access to Data 360, Tableau, Slack, and your entire Salesforce workflow—without ever leaving the chat.
What this changes today:
• Instant Grounded Intelligence — Ask complex enterprise questions and get real-time, trusted answers
• App & Agent Builder — Deploy custom workflows, agents, and secure apps on the fly
• Action-Oriented — Trigger live enterprise actions and get work done, not just summaries
• Ironclad Governance — Zero Data Retention, full trust boundary, Salesforce-certified by default
Probabilistic models alone can’t run a company. Deterministic systems alone can’t reason. Claudeforce fuses Claude’s reasoning with Salesforce’s trusted data and controls. The AI is the interface.
This is how every business will run.
See it at Dreamforce. #DF26

@webaficionado We’ve been building it since 2018 with @spekitapp - just in time enablement delivered in the flow of work, exactly when and where reps need it. The market is now catching up to this movement which is exciting ✨
@shl Agreed that today you can automate a lot of this but if done right, a virtual EA can be a big time saver for a founder focused on the GTM side of the house.
@shl Worked at startup that didn't invest in a CRM until series B - it was a nightmare + took months away from our most valuable resources to implement (company eventually failed). CRM day one took no effort to set up, built as we went + had all customer data centralized since day 1

@HarryStebbings@scooterbraun Favorite episode yet. Spent a week alone in 2020 and it changed the direction of my company. Need to take another week off.
@loganbartlett Fantastic episode! Inspired me to read some of his other articles and watch an episode he did in 2020 with Endeavour on leading through Crisis.
