@JoshuaTMcCabe A bigger issue is how local development is being driven by exceptions to zoning ordinances. Basically, a 7-member body is creating ad hoc housing policy in lieu of a citywide conversation. If that many variances are req. perhaps the zoning is flawed?

@JoshuaTMcCabe @CityofLowellMA Fair point. That was a flyover article of the proposed budget, and I'll be following up with more detailed analysis prior to the June 20 public hearing including breakdowns on tax rates, water & sewer rate hikes and the capital plan.

I haven't even reported on affordable housing trusts, 40B or Transit Oriented Development Plans, yet! Knit all that together, & we may get a housing plan in #LowellMA.

I'm 1 of 6 kids. We sat 3 in front seat, 3 in second seat and 2 in rear-facing, below-the-frame trunk seat of our second-hand woody station wagon.
Minivans & SUVs evolved to meet regs & fam needs.
