Trump prevented everyone from celebrating near the game. He made everyone show up hours early. Women could not take in a bag. He inconvenienced the entire city. And then he fell asleep.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the extraordinary outbursts of the President of the United States against female journalists... well, actually against journalists in general and journalism. But it feels like he saves his most childlike behavior and irrational language for female reporters, calling them all kinds of names that kids in kindergarten are given times out for. It’s stunning to me to witness such behavior from any leader, any CEO, any person of influence or importance. I’ve never witnessed someone like this raging, this weekend with @meetthepress host @kwelkernbc, just last week in the Oval Office with @cnn’s @kaitlancollins, calling women stupid or piggy, telling them to “smile”, calling them darling, demeaning their credibility. Every good man should denounce this behavior. Every person should be able to stand up for their colleagues and say “No more.”
Imagine this man screaming like this at your daughter, your wife, your sister, your mother... would you stand for it? No, you wouldn’t! And neither should any of us. It’s unacceptable and undignified. Period. End of story.
Pete Hegseth went to Normandy France and made some Nazi ass anti-immigration speech and then proceeded to get kicked out of the country - being told never to come back.
Your grandfathers are rolling in their graves rn. This isn't what they fought and died for at all. He desecrated the memory of every soldier who fought, and who fell in Normandy. Fuck Pete Hegseth.
In tiny Albania, over a hundred thousand people have been in the streets against an environmentally disastrous luxury resort planned by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and his Qatari billionaire partners.
This is what global oligarchy looks like — and the people are saying NO.
@atrupar@NotHoodlum Trump: “I look and I talk to people.“
Johnson: “Everybody knows instinctively.“
Republicans tried to prove election fraud for 6 years without success and therefore now claim Democrats are cheating because of a gut feeling.
They convinced me. 🤣🤣
@atrupar The ballot counting is on live camera. Any person can walk in there and watch them counting the ballots. They are hiding nothing. trump is playing maga like a fiddle. It's all in part of his plan. Divide the people and pit them against each other. You dumbasses are being used.
@atrupar "I'm not saying it's rigged." Then proceeds to try and paint the picture it is. The Right used to mock the Left for using feelings over facts. Now instinct is fact? Proof, or it didn't happen.

@atrupar@TPBlue4 So, @SpeakerJohnson FEELS like a state with 39.3 million people is rigging the voting process we have had since 1964?
If there is NO proof, there is NO crime or fraud.
62 years of voting, but NOW it's "rigged"?
Get the f*ck out of our government, @SpeakerJohnson. F*cking ❄️asshat
@atrupar If something is “impossible to prove,” but also “everyone knows it instinctively,” you are no longer talking about evidence.
You are talking about belief trying to pass a background check it can’t clear.
@atrupar It’s time Mike Johnson is fired for spreading false election information. He’s doing no service to the American people making shit up as the speaker of the house.
@atrupar It’s impossible to prove because it is not rigged. Every vote counts. All mail in ballots that arrive on time are counted no matter how long it takes
Hmm... lets break this down..
The rigging is "diabolical," sophisticated, embedded deep in the system (mail-in processing, signature verification, extended canvassing windows in California). It's so upstream and entrenched that it's "hard to prove" with forensic evidence. Just a real classic of "they control everything" framing that fuels the sense of systemic humiliation.
Despite that power, "everybody knows instinctively something is wrong." The implication is that ordinary people (the real popular will) can smell the decadence and corruption a mile away. The elites' scheme is so transparently rotten that it collapses under its own obviousness once the "truth" is simply voiced.
You know, according to Umberto Eco, in fascist societies these people rhetorically cast their enemies as "at the same time too strong and too weak." On the one hand, fascists play up the power of certain disfavored elites to encourage in their followers a sense of grievance and humiliation.
On the other hand, fascist leaders point to the decadence of those elites as proof of their ultimate feebleness in the face of an overwhelming popular will.
Also, they are going to run with this and use is a pretext to get directly involved in the midterms elections somehow.
