After losing by fewer than 1,000 votes, Bryan Norris has requested a recount in the Republican primary runoff for Secretary of State. Because of course he has. https://t.co/vXkQ7TWoBQ
Cronyism in Arkansas - not an April Fools Joke
Arkansans deserve better than this. When people, who don't put Arkansas first, get appointed to positions of power, they hand even more control straight to the Governor. How does this ever fix our broken system? Our correctional system has long been one of the leanest and most efficient in the nation.
So why stack the Board of Corrections with two lobbyists — plus two other questionable appointees and allow AG Tim Griffin into the mix.
Jamie Barker – Recently left as the Governor’s Deputy Chief of Staff to become a named partner at the powerful lobbying firm Gilmore | Davis | Barker Strategies. Now appointed Chairman of the Board of Corrections, which oversees major contracts.
Grant Hodges – Former state representative, now a lobbyist with JCD Consulting.
Nathan Lee – Former Deputy at the Secretary of State’s office, accused of taking a $5,000 sign-on bonus from the Arkansas State Police and leaving.
Boyce Hamlet – Previously caught cheating on an Arkansas State Police exam and faced ethics violations.
The other 3 are actually caring people who want what's best for Arkansas not Sanders appointed plus they are long standing on the board.
This isn't reform. This is insiders giving insiders more power over our prisons, contracts, and taxpayer dollars. Real accountability starts with independent oversight — not more crony appointments that blur the lines between government and special interests. What do you think?
Do we really need a drama queen Governor? Here is the story from the owners. Not to mention the place has been packed since. @seanhannity@SarahHuckabee
When Governor Sanders arrived unannounced, staff served her and her party without interruption.
As her security presence became more visible in the dining room, some employees and guests expressed discomfort. After the party completed their meal, a member of the security detail was quietly asked to help conclude the visit in line with our standard 90-minute table policy.
The request was not immediately received, and the party remained for an additional period before departing without incident once communication was established.
We want to be clear: there was no disruption in the restaurant. Claims that an employee made an inappropriate gesture are incorrect-it was a customer, and the situation has been addressed.
This was not a decision made lightly. We chose to prioritize the comfort of our staff and guests while continuing to provide service respectfully and without escalation.
Here is the Karen version.

ICE agents aren't Disney villains. They're our neighbors, friends, and loved ones. These immigration and customs enforcement officers are red-blooded American patriots doing a tough job to keep our nation safe. Assaults against ICE are up 1,300%. I stand with @DHSgov.
Earlier this month Jamie Barker, Governor Sarah Sanders’ Deputy Chief of Staff, helped steer a $100+ million dollar contract to Deloitte – a global “big four” network service provider. The lobbying company that represents Deloitte here in Arkansas is Gilmore-Davis Strategy Group. ( Jon Gilmore is @lbengilmore brother)Just a few days later, Mr. Barker became a partner in the Gilmore-Davis Strategy Group.
Last evening, it was announced that Mr. Barker has now been appointed as the new Chairman of Arkansas Board of Corrections – which oversees the Franklin County Prison Boondoggle. Mr. Barker will hold this position while also a partner in the Gilmore-Davis Strategy Group.
Nathan Lee is another appointed along with Grant Hodges with a combination of 0 years in corrections. I’m sure these young inexperienced guys will really go against the crazy crap Joe Profiri is trying to do.
Remember @SarahHuckabee just lost a huge case against the board of corrections due to Separation of power, this is a horrible way to fix our system.
The Gilmore-Davis Strategy Group @JBarkerAR too.
I hope this helps you connect the dots. It is time for all of us to wake up and realize what is happening. We must hold the line and refuse to be silenced.

Today @flotus visited Marine Corps Base Quantico for a Toys for Tots Charity Drive, thanking Marines, military families, @ToysForTots_USA, and @TheToyAssoc for their partnership in delivering Christmas joy to children across America.
Don’t forget Iryna Zarutska. She, too, lost her precious life at the hands of lunatic Democrats. It’s not just the usual hate-spewing politicians on the left; it’s the activist judges they planted in our justice system as well.
