I haven't posted in a long time, but I wanted to share this petition related to concerns over rising food costs in this country. Please consider signing and share. Petition e-4974. https://t.co/62RGpjWsl6
I think I'm going to take a break from Twitter. I just don't feel like I'm making connections like before. A lot of the people I follow seem to have gone quiet, & sometimes it feels like on the rare occasion I say something, I'm talking in to thin air. Maybe people have moved on.
All winter I've worn the same few cheap acrylic sweaters and 1 pair of jeans. New clothing is too expensive, even at the cheaper places like Walmart. Thrift isn't even affordable any more. Poverty sucks.
With the weather changing, I find instead of being happy that it's warming up, I just feel defeated. I have no warm weather clothing. Either nothing fits, or is so tattered and sweat stained (generally both) that I can't go another season in it.
@OneTriton@CQualtro I had the same thoughts. Reducing poverty is different than lifting out of poverty. And by those numbers, who's not getting helped that needs it?
@nejsnave I almost cringe when I hear them say "reduce poverty" vs lifting people out of poverty. I also wonder who won't be part of the "hundreds of thousands". Is it just me?
@GaelenAgmundr@nejsnave @madmothership Yeah, I remember this. I'm pretty sure Pinkie's account was specifically created to target and spread misinformation about those that rely on ODSP. A lot of people, including myself, have the account blocked.
Cancer patients waiting for surgery at the #Ottawa Hospital are being bumped by clients of the for-profit clinic operating out of the Riverside Campus.
While this government ducks and smears, we will stand by cancer patients and hospital staff.
#PatientsBeforeProfits - always.
@LisaElizabethy I use it in combination with another medication for migraines, so it would really suck if it was no longer covered, since the combo that is the only thing that works enough to stop progression of my migraines enough; otherwise I end up in the ER with the really bad ones
@LisaElizabethy Just curious - was the dosage you were prescribed, the same as the last time you got it? I just picked up my prescription of it at the end of last month, and it was covered. But I also know some dosages of Naproxen are no longer covered.
@losinghopein@AccessibleGC@yaldei I can't be the only one wondering what happens going down the ramp if you don't make a proper turn where there is no railing.
@LilHurricaneo I don't know how it is in BC, but in ON the landlord is responsible for treating pest problems. That includes treating all surrounding units. It's not right that you have to deal with this. 🙁
