Another incredible accomplishment for our cardiology team as they successfully perform their 700th WATCHMAN procedure! We are incredibly proud of our cardiology care team and the outstanding care they provide to our patients each and every day. 💙✨
The WATCHMAN device offers an alternative to lifelong blood thinners for patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (AFib). This innovative, permanent heart implant significantly reduces stroke risk—without the bleeding concerns linked to long-term use of blood thinners like warfarin (Coumadin), Eliquis, Xarelto, or Pradaxa.
Congratulations to our cardiology team for reaching this milestone!
This Nurses Week, we’re celebrating the incredible nurses who make a difference every single day across Mercyhealth. 💙
