What often distinguishes an investable opportunity from an overlooked one is not really the absence of risk, but the availability of reliable information that allows that risk to be correctly factored and priced. https://t.co/RQfGcv8RMt
In our latest piece for @FT, @mercyranda and I explore why the information gap is often mistaken for investment risk, and what better data, transparency and market intelligence could unlock for African markets.

Just got out the hospital and Apple is sending me a warning that they detected a targeted mercenary spyware attack against my iphone , saying the attack is targeting me specifically because of who I am and what I do geeez I’m now scared and shaken
Capital prices what it can see, verify and compare. I’m excited to join Bullish Africa, the continent’s capital markets convening, to showcase what we've been building to make African markets easier to read, track and assess in the formats capital requires.

When things get complicated, the real test begins. @PnLConsulting demonstrated that the right strategy, at the right moment, can make all the difference with “Governing Under Fire – Crisis & Reputation Management for @thenairobihosp”

The number nobody's reported: Sh975 million.
A 2015 due diligence valuation — done ahead of Treasury's 40% buy-in — put De La Rue's 10.8-acre Ruaraka plot at that price. No banknote contract since 2023. No fresh valuation since. Land there has moved multiples since.
Documents I've seen: a 2015 valuation pricing De La Rue's Ruaraka land at Sh975m — a fraction of today's value. A diplomatic letter urging Kenya to go easy on the tax dispute. And a boardroom exit nobody's fully explained.
This looks less like a sale, more like an unlock.
Superior outcomes rarely happen in isolation. @PnLConsulting joined @KenyaBankers for a management workshop in Nairobi, highlighting strategic communications role in achieving industrywide goals.
I built this company. I've watched its value fall 62% in four years. Today its minority shareholders vote to hold the board to account, a vote we cannot win but will not stay silent on. Here's why. #WPPScangroup, @WPP
African business leaders are not waiting to be invited to the growth conversation. They are driving it. The question is no longer whether Africa is rising. Scaling is. @PnLConsulting CEO @mercyranda argues in @BD_Africa.

A clear takeaway from the @africaceoforum 2026 is that fragmentation remains one of Africa's most expensive holdbacks. Layered approvals, inconsistent regulations, and protectionist instincts undermine the scale the continent urgently needs - @mercyranda https://t.co/4PvU2LD0jh
The atmosphere was charged at the #ACF2026 in Kigali with stories of scaling businesses across borders. From @BUAgroup founder @asr_rabiu to @Haco_Industries MD Mary-Anne Musangi, speakers spotlighted the inner workings of cross-border trade.

Another win for Kenya ✅
This morning we had another successful listing on the @NSE_PLC as @kmrc_co’s inaugural KES 3 Billion Sustainability Note recorded a strong 3x oversubscription, attracting KES 9.38 Billion.
This continued momentum reflects the growing depth, liquidity and vibrancy at NSE in mobilizing large scale capital to fund our country’s national economic development👍🏽
Aliko Dangote just confirmed it himself.
The Dangote Refinery IPO is coming to the market by September 2026.
Demand is already in billions of dollars. The private placement alone has requests of nearly $2 billion before the public offer even opens.
The refinery will produce 10% of America’s entire refining capacity. The largest refinery ever built on earth. The highest turnover of any business in Africa.
In his exact words: “We want it to be like Amazon or Apple. The people who bought early became millionaires. That’s what we want to bring to Africa.”
Position before September, or watch from the sidelines.

Sabastian Sawe didn't break the 2-hour marathon barrier just because of the Adidas "supershoe." He's a damn good athlete. These East Africans all are.
I had to tell the whole world on CNN. Everyone be guided. Thanks for your attention to this matter!
